point blanc so far...


I have started to read point blanc by Anthony Horowitz, so far i have got to the point where Alex rider has received his gadgets for his latest mission and is about to set off to point blanc academy and uncover a conspiracy there. so far I'm enjoying this book, I think it has a lot of action in it and some people may be appealed to the gadgets that they use in the book, the book also has good mystery to it so I think this is a good sequel to storm breaker

point blanc- a new chapter in the alex rider series

 am currently reading point blanc by Anthony Horowitz, this book is the sequel to the highly successful stormbreaker, the book follows on from the events of its predecessor, Alex rider has just finished his first mission for MI5 and now must juggle being a spy, and normal 14 year old boy.

However, his life as a spy isn’t over yet as deaths of the two most powerful men have revealed just one link. Both had a son attending the point blanc academy, an exclusive school for rebellious rich kids run by Dr Grief and set high on an isolated mountain peak in the French alps.

Armed with a false ID and a collection of all new inventive gadgets, Alex must infiltrate the academy as a pupil and discover what is really happening there so he can alert the world of what he discovers.

I decided to read this book as i read stormbreaker and highly enjoyed it, I’m not very far in the book, but in the first few chapters there is already a lot of action and suspense, i think the book will have a good ending if the beginning in is this good. The front cover also looks good as it sends a message across. For example, the colour that is used is a silvery grey colour, this makes the cover look serious as it’s a slightly dark colour, it also gives it a snowy effect as there is a picture of the French alps. there also looks like there might be death in the book as you can see a crosshair aiming for the mountains

My journey of reading

Hi everyone, I’m Mr X! I will be posting about reading as part of my English work so let’s get started. Reading is a good pastime for me, it’s not favourite thing as i do prefer to do other activity’s (but i won’t get into too much detail today) but it’s good if i want to kill some time.

I’ve been reading for as long as i can remember, i remember getting my first book of my own when i was four, it was called the magic rabbit and it was an interactive book in which you had to slide a cardboard rabbit character through various slots so it looked like it was performing magic tricks.

Since then i have read many other books, some books i read a lot are the harry potter series. I highly enjoy these books and they have great rereading value to them.  But i mostly read comic books on the marvel comics app on my Ipad, the pictures are very well drawn and it’s almost like you are where the superhero is. I am about to read the hunger games by Suzanne Collins, i enjoyed the movie so i though i would start reading the books.

I normally like to read outside when the day is good it’s a good excuse to get in the sunlight while reading a chapter of my book. So that’s my reading experiences in a nutshell, i will keep you updated with certain books in the future.
